BRIEF ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Morning flight from Istanbul to Şanlıurfa and begin city tour including Göbekli Tepe
Day 2 – Visit Harran and Prophet Abraham’s Cave, then flight back to Istanbul

DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Morning Flight from Istanbul to Şanlıurfa – Göbekli Tepe & City Tour

In the morning, you will be picked up from your Istanbul hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Şanlıurfa (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes). Upon arrival at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, your guide will meet you and brief you about the tour.

You’ll start your tour by visiting the extraordinary Göbekli Tepe, the oldest known temple complex in the world, dating back over 11,000 years. It’s considered the birthplace of religion and one of the most important archaeological discoveries in modern history.

Next, you’ll visit Urfa Castle with scenic views of the city, followed by the sacred site of Balıklıgöl (Pool of Sacred Fish) and Prophet Abraham’s Cave, a spiritual and cultural highlight of the city.

Continue with a guided walk through the historic Urfa Bazaar, known for traditional fabrics, spices, and handicrafts. After the tour, check in to your boutique hotel in the city center.

Optional: In the evening, you may join the Traditional Urfa Night – Sıra Gecesi with live music and local cuisine (available at an extra cost).

DAY 2: Harran Tour & Flight Back to Istanbul

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Harran, located about 45 minutes from Urfa. You’ll explore this ancient village, famous for its beehive-shaped houses, the ruins of one of the world’s oldest universities, and its deep historical roots from the Assyrian and Islamic periods.

After the tour, we return to Şanlıurfa for lunch and enjoy some free time to relax or explore further.

In the afternoon, transfer to GAP Airport for your return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our team will meet you and drop you off at your hotel.
