DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Flight from Istanbul to Şanlıurfa – Göbekli Tepe & City Highlights

Early morning pick-up from your Istanbul hotel and transfer to the airport. You’ll take a domestic flight to Şanlıurfa. Upon arrival, your guide will welcome you and begin the tour.

Start with a visit to Göbekli Tepe, the world’s oldest known temple complex. Continue to Urfa Castle, Balıklıgöl (Pool of Sacred Fish), and the Cave of Prophet Abraham. End the day with a stroll through the lively Urfa Bazaar.

Check in to your boutique hotel in Şanlıurfa.

Optional: Traditional Urfa Night (Sıra Gecesi) with live music and local cuisine.

DAY 2: Transfer to Mardin – Old City & Monasteries Tour

After breakfast, depart for Mardin (approx. 2.5–3 hours). Mardin is famous for its sandstone architecture, narrow streets, and rich cultural heritage.

Upon arrival, visit the Deyrulzafaran Monastery, one of the oldest surviving Syriac Orthodox monasteries. Then explore Mardin Old City, including Ulu Mosque, Mardin Museum, and historic mansions and stone houses. Enjoy walking in the old bazaar and take in panoramic views from the terraces.

Check in to your hotel in Mardin and enjoy a peaceful evening.

DAY 3: Drive to Kahta (Adıyaman) – Mount Nemrut Sunset Tour

After breakfast, depart for Kahta/Adıyaman (approx. 3–3.5 hours). On the way, stop to see:

Karakus Tumulus

Cendere Bridge – a Roman bridge over the Cendere River

Arsemia Ruins – the summer capital of Commagene Kingdom

Arrive at Mount Nemrut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and hike to the summit to witness the stunning sunset view over the colossal stone heads of the ancient gods and kings.

After sunset, transfer to your hotel in Kahta or Adıyaman.

DAY 4: Flight Back to Istanbul

After breakfast, free time depending on your flight schedule. Then transfer to Adıyaman Airport for your return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Istanbul.
